ryeobear: I barely have the words to begin this; a girl’s ship is tricky to talk about but her OTP…that takes some serious thought. Kyuhyun and Ryeowook have been consistently upsetting me for a long time now. For more reasons than I could count I can’t stop myself from adoring every inch of them and so I suppose shipping them isn’t so strange. I love the two of them individually, how could I not love them together? Though that isn’t what it boils down to. I came in to this fandom knowing I had a lot of work to do; names need putting to faces, I needed to listen to everything, and watch everything. Super Junior caught my interest and held on to it with a death grip (they maintain that hold even now) so it was actually a pretty quick process. It was like going through a blog archive, seeing how everything began and then slowly monitoring the changes over time which led to the blog you have now. From the very beginning I saw Kyuhyun and Ryeowook’s friendship and honestly it’s a wonder I did see it so early on because they were pretty much non-existent in the early days. Those two boys standing at the back or off to one side who were always whispering to one another, laughing quietly with one another or laughing quite openly at one another. I just found it overwhelmingly endearing, those two boys who very rapidly became MY BABIES <333 seemed so content to stay quiet and enjoy themselves while the other members did their thing. It only escalated from there, their friendship grew with every appearance and Kyuwook shippers would always be there to see. It’s the small moments that take an eagle eye to catch when they look for each other in line to take a bow or they glance at one another and smile while other members are talking. And then we have those obvious, beautiful moments were they talk about their little arguments over nothing and mess with each other and stick together everywhere like lost puppies.   For me the best part is that their friendship is so understandable and so strong. We all know about Kyuhyun’s struggles when he joined Super Junior late but equally we know how much Ryeowook supported him because he’d been through it too; they went through those difficult times together. The two maknaes who had each other’s back when their loving hyungs weren’t as loving as they should have been. That’s why I’m…defensive XD of this ship. Their bratty nature aside, there is a huge amount of care that they have for one another, hence the picture I chose which I consider to be one of the most beautiful Kyuwook pictures.   Having a Kyuwook day isn’t so much to go over their fits of giggles, their random hugs, their discrete little nudges, or everyone’s favourite kissing game (you know the one). It’s more a recognition of two extremely special members of Super Junior who have finally been given their oppourtunity to stop hiding in the back and show how incredible they’ve always been. Kyuhyun and Ryeowook are the babies, the vocals, the trolls, the evil maknae and the eternal maknae who make Super Junior especially unique and more importantly,  they are two best friends 5ever.
